UnrealIRCd 6.1.2.2 released

Post by Syzop »

If you have not installed 6.1.2 or 6.1.2.1 yet, then know that 6.1.2 has quite a nice number of new spam filter features, such as Central Spamfilter. All features are explained in more detail in the release notes. You can upgrade to 6.1.2.x on *NIX via the "./unrealircd upgrade" command. You can upgrade now or you can upgrade at a later point. We had already two fix releases in the past couple of days, so it is totally understandable if you want to wait for a while to see if the latest (dot) release is indeed stable.

Read the following if you were already on 6.1.2 or 6.1.2.1...
The 6.1.2.1 release fixed a spamfilter::rule crash in 6.1.2.

This 6.1.2.2 release fixes: tkldb accidentally storing central spamfilters, a crash while booting if you previously used spamfilters with non-UTF8 characters in them, and fix a possible crash with SETNAME when using the SPAMFILTER 'u' target. It also adds a "REHASH -centralspamfilter" command.

If you are already on 6.1.2.1 then the tkldb issue and the crash bugs can also be hot-patched on *NIX (without needing a restart). It won't change your version to 6.1.2.2 but those bugs will be fixed. The command to do so is:

Code: Select all

./unrealircd hot-patch 6121
