the ~, & and @ signs

Alright, I was so in a hurrt compiling my ircd that I didn't have time to answer the questions. So, I want to allow the ~ for owner. & for SOP and @ for AOP/normal op. I know it doesn't really matter... but I want it to go along with the rest of the servers. So, is there a way to allow it? (editing ...

/links not showing all links

alright, I looked in the FAQ and didn't find the answer.

When users type /links

It shows my server two times. The network has two servers yet only mine shows. How can I make it show the other too?

Thanks

If you have gcc 4 ('gcc --version' in the shell to get the version number of the compiler), then I strongly suggest using CVS, otherwise you'll crash on-link indeed. If you do not have gcc 4 (but for example 3.x.x or 2.x.x), then ignore my comment ;). Ah, thank you. Although, my unreal is working g...

This issue has been fixed and yes there was something wrong with my compile. However, here's another problem. I got my server up and everything works fine. Although, when I try to link my server, it connects then my unrealircd automaticlly crashes/disconnects. So, it connects for about 2 seconds the...

"ircd.pid"

Alright, this is my first time installing unrealircd on a linux system and I'm getting the following error (after I compile, etc.) I run it and it says: /home/aven/Unreal3.2/unreal: line 10: /home/aven/Unreal3.2/src/ircd: No such file or directory I asked some people that are familiar with unrealirc...

I have run Unreal on Win95 Win98 WinME Win2k and Win XP 95, 98 and ME were the only ones that had problems when people got to about ~30 connections, then everyone got disconnected. This happens because Windows has a low socket limit. I am sure it applies to Windows XP as well. There is almost nothi...

anyone else get this spam?

Hello, I've been recently seeing a lot of these spammers. About 4 a week. A client joins and says "..:: I'm infected with I-Worm.Blooger.A coded by CyBeR_AciD ::..[spam url]" It's different nicknames all the time.. the client joins then quits.. So I think it's a bot. But anyway, for the spam "spam u...

Exactly, It wasn't in the "snomask" area. In the "oper block". Be WAY more specific next time. And if you're saying that you can't help someone that you already know because you have a "life"... you did a good job pointing me to the FAQ, however... try to be WAY more specific next time? If you're ju...
