time/date stuff

Is there somewhere in the config where i set the time zone. This was yesterday..

Synopsys has been idle 18secs, signed on Mon Mar 28 08:29:02
When it was Thurs April.

if i remeber correctly, the server get's its' time from the operating systems settings. you may want to check

how can i change the timezone on debian sarge. i swear i set it up correctly but it thinks we are still in march..

Uhm.. timezones can only be off by 24 (or 25) hours at most... you are saying it's almost off a month so... that doesn't exactly sound like a timezone problem ;p

You'll have to run a time synch utility - something that is kinda mandatory for irc servers, and servers in general - such as ntpd. See some faq question about this.

As for the timezone question, debian has 'tzconfig' for that.
