Cloak whole host?

Post by jsundberg »

Hi!
Is it possible to cloak a users complete host by default?
Now only the first numbers/letters are cloaked and you can still see the ISP. Is it possible to have all users automatically have ident@cloakedhost for example?

Many thanks!

No, that's not possible with the default cloaking module.
You could write your own cloaking module (or search the internet for one, but I don't know if there is really one that does what you want).
If you don't make mistakes, you aren't really trying.

Yeah, so I've found out. Thanks anyway!
Maybe there's a module that will make it possible for users to set their on hostname. Found one but it costs money, and that sucks. The network is so small, just me and my friend.

You could always use HostServ of your services package...

disable DNS resolution.

The existing cloakhost hides the entire IP if it's not resolved.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
