Binding of ip really need help....

it better to connect to server by typing /server servername.SG.netsurfers.net

but i cant....

cos it cannot be resolve

* Dns resolving servername.SG.netsurfers.net

* Dns unable to resolve servername.SG.netsurfers.net

my friend has to ask me for my ip so tat he can connect...is there anyway i can bind servername.SG.netsurfers.net to my ip

wat i have seen so far...from a server admin

his irc server ===>

* Dns resolving xxxx.SG.NetSurfers.Net
-
* Dns resolved xxxx.SG.NetSurfers.Net to 214.134.13.200

it can be resolved ...how come my one cant be resolved?

You have to add your IP to the DNS server of netsurfers.net...

Re the bnc, that can happen for a lot of reasons. Try lowering your pingfreq and see if that helps. To buy a domain, you'll need to see a registrar.
