MSVCR71.dll error

Post by xpage »

after the installation whenever I run anope.exe . I get error below

MSVCR71.dll not found when I run anop 1.7 on 2003 server.

I am running a sever with .NET 1.1 and I was able to find the .dll (and also able to download it from the internet) but I do not know where to place it in order to fix the problem.

Help is appriciated.

anope is a services package, and not at all related to UnrealIRCd. It is possible a couple of the other people that hang out here can help, however I would suggest subscribing to the anope mailing list, or reading the faq on thier website.

Here is a hint for the future:

When you run unreal and it doesnt work, thats an UNREALIRCd problem.

When you run anope, thats a Anope problem.

Using this same thought process, when your run explorer.exe, this is a windows problem. Asking in the Macintosh help forums would not likely lead to help as quickly as asking on the windows website.

Just a thought...

[ Edit ] After some simple google (who woulda thought that google would know) I found this information. Possibly it would solve your problem. Next time you may want to both ask in the right place, and try to search for the answer before asking. --> Here's the Link

Darvocet - you may notice that this particular section of the Unreal forums is devoted to Services help ;) to quote the comment on the Services forum:

(small note: it was posted in the Unreal3.2 section, had to move it to Services, perhaps that caused some confusion)
