hi there
the new addon that are using the attackers to connect clons to our network
uses by realname only a " "
yes, a space, the first time they attacked us, I added a spamfilter to match
:.* .*
everything that contained a space in the gcos...the clons werent affected,
then I did the same, but using alt+255, this time I succeded,

in my house, where I use windows, and wircd if I wanna add a ban to
realname mask " " using alt+255 and using the
unreal windows editor it makes to lose the line after the
alt+255 when I save and close the editor, causing a error, when rehash:
error: unrealircd.conf:line: Unterminated quote found
dont know if that is a bug, or if it was meant to do that with that code...

in the server, where we use linux, I edited the conf with notepad++
because the console editors I know add weird chars with the alt code...
then, the questions I have,
unreal recognizes another char as the alt255 space??
how can I add a ban realname for users who are not using a [a-z] [0-9]
in the gcos?? to avoid specials chars from connecting..
I had to add the ban realname line twice, for the space and for the alt255,
I would like to have just one line, for banning that kind of chars, and not
only 1 char but a combination in case they use that...

seems like my thread has passed unseen...
I would like to know how to ban the realname who is
usin at least one alt255 space...
wildcards??
and ban all realnames who match any special char...
please, any support on this..
the wircd conf editor deletes the line after the alt code...
