Channels in /whois

Post by Grunt »

Hi again. I'm having some trouble understanding why do some channels in /whois appear like this:

Lamenick on %#chan1 ?~#chan2 @#chan3 #chan4 !#chan5
Computers are machines that cause trouble you wouldn't normally have if you wouldn't have a computer.

The question mark indeed says the channel is +s. Only shown when you aren't on the channel yourself, and you need to be a netadmin.

The exclamation mark I can't figure out, something with being an oper and umodes <_<

Might be a little out of date, but:

The perfect answer to this question is in the HELPOP documentation for the WHOIS command. Or you could just read Stealth's linked post, which pretty much says the same thing.
