linking both 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 ?

Post by kevin39 »

Hi,
Can we link 3.2.3 with 3.2.4 or it may causes desynch ? We have a lot of servers and I search to know if we must do a blackout or if it's possible to upgrade our servers gradually ;)

Thanks.

they make their version backwards compatible for atleast one version.

It's ok to run 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 for a few days, it is not recommended to do it for an extended period of time
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Please read the release notes, kevin39.

When upgrading a network, we assume you are upgrading from the previous version (3.2.3). If you have a network running with servers that are several versions behind (eg: 3.2.1) then you might experience (desynch) problems. Please also minimize the time you have multiple versions running, several days is not a problem, but having mixed versions on a network for weeks or months is not recommended.
If you don't make mistakes, you aren't really trying.
