Silently using Spamfilter Warn?

Post by FiXato »

Is there also a way to get spamfilter's 'warn' target to function silently?
So that it doesn't send the user the numeric, but only warns opers about the spam?
It would be a handy way to monitor botmaster's actions (and retrieving their botnet password for uninstall purposes) by setting a spamfilter on common botnet commands such as !adv scan, without letting the botmaster know he is being monitored.
Kinda how in 3.2.1 spamfilter's 'shun' target (which was incorrectly working at that time) worked..

Also, it seems the /helpop ?spamfilter help wasn't updated to show the new target.

No, that's exactly the reason why this is not possible.
Spying on your users is not supported.
If you don't make mistakes, you aren't really trying.
