Unauthorised usermodes

Post by FrostByte »

I have installed Unreal 3.2.4. It's been running for 3 days now and over those 3 days i've noticed 2 counts of regular users connecting and they are given user flags they shouldn't have.

1 user was given the +h flag for HelpOp.

And the other was using flags +iwrsRTxBdGp +ks stating that he is a bot on the network.

Any ideas why this is happening and how i can stop it?

Check your set::modes-on-connect (or similarly named).

Also, some services give you +h (anope is one) if you get op on the defined help channel. Comment out this setting in your (services) config file.
Why the hell can't my signature be empty?

As I said...

+B is NOT an oper-only usermode, funnily enough. Nor are any others you pasted, except +h - which as Jason pointed out can be set by services, etc.
