IRCop protection modes

Post by Ropechoborra »

Hi, I have a problem on my network, any user can kick the Ircops (like Services Admins or Network admins) with the ChanServ and also with the Bot (from BotServ).

With the mode +q they can't kick us with /kick but they can with the services.

Is there a module or some other mode that won't allow this?

Thanks!

Obviously someone does not want you in their channel. There is no way to get around this.

Being an oper on a network does not make you god, so you should not expect to push users around in such ways. It's their channel, and they clearly don't want you there... So stay out!

But this Network is not a Public One, in the MOTD there are several rules that the user must accept before interacting with other users or channels. So it should be something unethical if we do not tell the users about this but we do.

Are you sure there is no way to block this kick?

Thank you.

If you're using Anope there is a module that prevents users using ChanServ abd BotServ from kicking you, also if you use /msg OperServ set superadmin on they cant kick you either.

But one main point to remember is users dont like their freedom being inhibited by anyone, take away their freedom, they leave for somewhere else.
