Delline?

Post by Ghost4126 »

Well i know there is the addline command, but what i was wondering is if there was some sort of command that deletes a line from the configuration file.

Agreed. The /addline command was only really useful when Unreal still used the clumsy lined format (O:Lines, C/N/H:Lines, etc), but now that it has the newer C-like format (oper blocks, link blocks, etc), it is actually more difficult to add/remove stuff from config using /addline in that way.

So I say just make sure you have shell access and wip out emacs (or xemacs + Cygwin X Server, if you want a GUI) or your other favorite text editor and do things that way. Just don't forget to /rehash!

Yeah, i was kind of expecting a no. Unfortunatley i never setup shell access on the box i'm talking about. Its running on a friends windows machine who has closer to the nessecary bandwidth. I'll have to wait until next time to set it up. thanks for your help.
