Installed, running, no one can connect

hi there,

thank for such a fantastic ircd....

now on to my problems
i have installed the program read all i can on the conf file sorted that out,
the ircd starts up fine with no erros in the logfile....

i am runing lakeserv 6.0 services and a few tcl's for windrop ie bseen and auto ident for my windrop bot......

now i can connect either by local connection or by putting my servers name in the servers list with mIRC..... ie...kickback.zapto.org i can connect fine, my services are running fine everything seems fine BUT no one from the internet can connect to my server they get error msg ping time out.... any idea's as what this could be? i have no firewall installed its a fresh install of everything.... well except my win xp pro firewall but i doubt thats the problem

any help will be much appriciated

If you have a router, you might want to read its documentation for port forwarding.

If you are on dial-up, and this server is on XP, read the help files about XP's built-in firewall.

Additionally, make sure you arent running a firewall on the computer that can be blocking ports (such as ZoneAlarm)

And can they connect via IP? (eg 216.74.66.44 or some such nonsense)
