Huge problem in putty.

Okay I have followed many tutorials

but heres the problem, I did the unrealircd.conf right, but
in PuTTY when i type in ./unreal start this what happens

y(Repeatedly Non Stop) like whole bunch of "y" just do the same thing over and over.
I did make, and gmake but yea... If someone could post like a video tutorial or tell
me whats going on. Much thanks
