How do I keep the connection alive longer for each client?

Post by yhilbert »

Hi just wondering what I need to configure to allow connected clients enough time to respond to the ping to check if they are alive. I mean I know the setting pingfreq sets how often the server sends out these pings to check if they are alive but how long does it give the client before it disconnects them and how do you set that. I have too many clients constantly getting "Quit (Ping Timeout)" and I'm sure its not my server connection as I'm on a cable modem speed.

ahh screw this so much for the support. I've just purchased IRCXDPro and it rocks. Has everything easily setup and running just the way I like.

Quite honestly we don't really care if you got impatient and decided to waste your money.

I only wondered why you bothered telling us...
So you really didn't purchase it and are just saying that because you want us to feel bad because we lost a user...
Or you think we're going to read your post and cry over it...
Or you're intentionally spamming on these forums.

Unreal is the most widely-used IRCd out there, losing 1 person isn't going to make us piss our pants.

BTW, it's not called "IRCXDPro", it's "IRCXpro", which changed their name to OfficeIRC quite some time ago. Just more reasoning to make us think you are just bluffing about your purchase.
