Each user has separate connection password.. help?
Each user has separate connection password.. help?
I want to be able to have each connecting user have a separate connection password to even get on the server. Is this possible?
I dont want to have to deal with a ton of allow blocks and having a script alter the unrealircd.conf file everytime.

LOL, doubt that is the only way to do it....... I'm not paying for this at that price. I could script an mIRC bot to disconnect a user that isn't in a database ffs....... This isn't practical for me tho.
SO again... Is there any other resources maybe?

You can find the old userauth module by Angrywolf and find someone to make it word for you. It still compiles on 3.2.8.1 but is probably crashy under certain conditions due to its age.

What I mean by "only way" is to use a module. UnrealIRCd doesn't have the ability built in.

Re: Each user has separate connection password.. help?
After (coincidentally) seeing this thread, I've sent Murtific a PM.
He did get on IRC X days ago, saying to 'check my mail', but did not leave his email address, so that didn't really help much
Did check my spambox & trash at that time, but didn't find anything.
Turns out it has to do with SMTP servers not liking eachother.
I normally reply to emails regarding products within 24-48 hours.
