[Windows] GUI of UnrealIRCD doesn't load

Post by Lars »

Hey,

I finnaly have the UnrealIRCD server perfectly working, but i saw at an other server that there is a GUI in UnrealIRCD were you can click to restart en get logs and things. I'm running it on Windows 2000 server edition. Does someone know how i can make that working? It would be a lot better to work with.

Greets,
Lars

In the installer, don't check "Install as an NT Service".

If it is installed as a service, it runs in the background. It can run on startup, and doesnt exit on logout. (Thats what you have)

If it doesnt, you can run it in a program, it wont start automaticly, and it exits on logout

What if I want to go back to opening Unreal myself?

I have tryed reinstalling and not selecting "run as a service" but it still does.

Did you try uninstalling first?

I think we really need this whole "service" thing added to the docs...

Quite a few people are asking about it here and on #unreal-support.

The default option in the installer will be changed in Unreal 3.2.2.

There is a list of changes made in the next version already here.

As in, in a command prompt, changing to Unreal directory, and running the command "unreal uninstall"?
