Is there a way to change NICKLEN?

I am just curious not that I want to change it. I just want to know because I am curious where the stuff like NICKLEN and MODES all stated in /version are stored.

There's a thread lying around that shows how you can effectively reduce the max nick length (and even warn users that they can't use that long of a nick instead of just truncating the nick

). It involves using ban nick { }

.

Increasing it is another story.

It isnt possible, because quite a few other things rely on NICKLEN.
(and besides, modifying unreal isnt supported

)

Isn't 30-odd characters enough? I mean, I really wouldnt want my nicklist to take up 2/3rds of my screen...

There are ways to increse the nicklen, but you are on your own for that.

Changing NICKLEN will screw things up if not dont properly.
