Oper-block (Win32).

Post by Nemus »

Hello!

I have Googled a little and searched the forums a little, but without result. I am wondering, if it is possible to set an Oper, who doesn't receive a user's IP and real host when the Oper /whois'es someone. Well, is it possible to do that?

Snomask +e enables that line. Remove that snomask and the line disappears :) .

Thanks, aquanight, but it failed. I don't think I specified enough details. My users get a vhost when they auth with a bot (a vhost whose IP you can't see with /dns). Even though I removed +e from the snomasks, all Opers still see the user's real IP and hostmask. I want to be able to create Opers who aren't allowed to see that line.

If you don't trust them, don't give them Oper.

Anyway...
What should they do with the IP Address? DoS the user? They could just /kill him... Or where's the problem in Opers having the IP Address of the Users?

You have a point there. But, I need to hide the IPs of certain bots and the like, not wanting even certain Opers to see. I have a workaround at the moment, but it's not the best.

So, my question remains, is it possible to not make Opers see vhosted users' IPs?
