Updating 3.2-SSL => 3.2.2(no SSL)

Post by Latinus »

Hi !

I have a win32 UnrealIrcd 3.2-SSL which is running on a win2k srv sp4 and I would like to update it to Unreal3.2.2 (without SSL).

If I launch unreal3.2.1(no ssl)'s setup and after the 3.2.2(no ssl), can I be sure that all goes running fine ?
I mean : must I continue with SSL versions or not ?

Thanks a lot !

First of all, I have no idea why you are even mentioning 3.2.1, simply upgrade to 3.2.2. Secondly, if your configuration file uses SSL, then you will get errors when switching to non-SSL. Otherwise, it will work fine.

If this applies to you, then simply remove all SSL-related configuration from your configuration file.

:?: Because this :
- When upgrading a network, we assume you are upgrading from the previous
version (3.2.1). If you got a net running with servers that are several
versions behind (eg: 3.2) then you might experience (desynch) problems.

Hum ok... I'd misunderstood it ; my IRC network is running on an alone server. I don't risk to have desynch... huhu !

No, I don't use SSL. It was a project which was not implemented !

Thank you for the reply, I can delete the 3.2.1 installer.
