Opers are not gods. They cannot join a channel with a key.

Ways to join a channel with a key:

Code: Select all

/samode #channel -k key
/cs invite #channel
(With OperOverride) /invite you #channel
(With Anope) /cs getket #channel

Also, it is much nicer (aka less abusive) to properly get the key from one of the ops in the channel. If the channel has a key it is obviously a private channel. If there has been a probelm reported in the channel, ask the reporter for the key. There should be NO reason to need to override a key.

(If you are going to be stupid and ask how to get a list of prople that are in the channel, /who #channel works well.)
