Force Join Idle Person
Force Join Idle Person
Is there a way to force join someone into a channel if they have been idleing in no channel for say 10 seconds?
Not automatically. You could /who * and look for those with no given channel.

I think mostly the reason it doesn't exist is because it's really irritating to be force-joined anywhere (think of it from a users perspective rather than as an admin). I for one don't hang around networks that force me to join a channel on connect (which can be done) or use SAJOIN without good reason. If you want users in a channel, give them reaason to be there rather than giving them no choice.

So you can idle/be asleep/whatever without being bugged? So you can decide what channel you want to be in? So you can /list etc etc and decide if you want to hang around?
There's plenty of reasons.

PM's are not useless.
Why would I use a channel to talk to 1 other person where any nosy admin can pop in at any time right in the middle of a conversation meant for no one else but me and the other person? If I use a PM, no one can just pop into it in the middle of a conversation and see what is being said...

could be done by ur services. normal its an operserv command /os notinchanlistjoin (depending on ur running services). With this u can join ppl in a defined channel. To call the command u may use an eggdrop or run a script every 20 secs. But usually its enough to run it 10 - 20 minutes.
I thought the only method to 'read along' PM's was to link up servers an sniff the packs between 'em...? Ie: impossible or too hard a job to catch a few words anyway...Jason wrote:Though a unethical admin who would spy on your channel will probably find a module to spy on your pm, and at least you know when he spys on your channel by the obvious method
