[SOLVED] Turkish Characters

Post by Srkn »

Hello. I allowed turkish character nicknames (without utf-8) on my server. Everything is working great. But all notices which is including turkish characters shows unknown symbol like this:

connect.LOCAL_CLIENT_CONNECT [info] Client connecting:  (localhost@localhost) [127.0.0.1] [vhost: Clk-7C22132E] [class: clients] [reputation: 37] [security-groups: known-users]

" " this is unknown symbol, question mark in diamond.

I am using this setting:

set { allowed-nickchars { turkish; }; };

Note, i am using mIRC 6.35 not mIRC 7.x. Is this the reason? Is there a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Update:

Same situtation in spamfilter: (turkish words)

tkl.TKL_ADD [info] Spamfilter added: '' [type: simple] [targets: cpnNa] [action: gline] [reason: Spam/Advertising]

This is because your client seems to not support UTF8. You should update your client.
