UnrealIRCd 6.2.1 focusses on performance improvements, but it also comes with various new features and fixes, such as: webhooks, UTF8ONLY, IRCv3 draft/extended-isupport, support for multiple certificate/keys. See the Release Notes for all information.
NOTE: If you were running 6.2.1-rc2 (so testing the last release candidate) then please upgrade to 6.2.1 stable, due to an issue with channel messaging on multi-servers and +H.
Download / Upgrade
As always, you can download UnrealIRCd from www.unrealircd.org. If you want to upgrade on *NIX, then use: ./unrealircd upgrade
PGP key rotation
Note that our PGP key expired in June 2025, so all our files are signed by the new PGP key. On UnrealIRCd 6.1.8(.1) and lower you will get a warning about a key mismatch when running ./unrealircd upgrade. UnrealIRCd 6.1.9 and later include the new key, as the key was created in Nov, 2024 already.
