The second Release Candidate for future version 6.2.3 is now available for testing. The stable version is still scheduled for somewhere in March 2026.
UnrealIRCd 6.2.3-rc2 comes with a couple of new features, improved security hardening and has quite a number of bug fixes. See the release notes for all details.
You can help us by testing this release and reporting bugs to https://bugs.unrealircd.org/
What changed between -rc1 and -rc2 are mostly improved security hardening, a new SETIDENT restriction, memory leak fixes and the removal of set::restrict-extendedbans. The reason for this second RC is to make sure those changes don't mess anything up. Especially on systems or configurations that we don't test on, or with 3rd party modules.
As always, you can download UnrealIRCd from www.unrealircd.org. If you want to upgrade on *NIX, then use: ./unrealircd upgrade --rc
